While I dabble and seek the heat, this one did a great job of bringing it! Ordinary steak sauce up front, heat on the mid and hind palate! Not over powering but a little goes a long way. Just as any steak sauce should be. This is a dipping sauce, not a slathering sauce.
Good flavor and nice heat. Just FYI, I agree with another reviewer that it doesn't have that A1 flavor if that's what you're looking for, however keep in mind it's a whiskey steak sauce, so not so vinegary as traditional steak sauce. I will definitely use this sauce on chicken and pork as well.
Not only does it taste delicious but the heat is at a perfect level for someone that normally doesn't eat spicy foods. The heat is an instant heat and dissipates quickly bite after bite. I found it tastes better on chicken to be honest because the lack of that typical A1 type flavor. I slow cooked some chicken tenders and they were easily the best I've ever made and they were non crispy so they melted in my mouth.
